Bella's Birthday was october 20th but I decided to have her party on the 22nd so that more people would be able to make it. I had the best time planning her party and I knew I wanted it huge, really for a few different reasons. 1- this was going to be the last first birthday party I was ever going to get to throw and 2nd- this was the first little girl party I ever got to throw. lol. So you will have to excuse all the pink but to be honest, I can't get enough of all the Pink! Linc teases me all the time that we can get her other things that aren't pink but after all the blue I have gotten over the years pink is the way to go.
I had made Bella 2 different outfits for her party and decided to only use one. Just the little outfit she is wearing when she is eating her cake. I did make her, her bow for her polo outfit. My aunt kept teasing me that all her outfit changes were worse then a Kardashian wedding. lol.
I wanted a teired cake so badly but I also didn't want to pay for one. So I decided to give it a go. I did a pink dessert table. Everything had to be PINK. If I would have had more time things would have been decorated even more but I ran out of time right at the end. I also wanted a white backdrop behind all this but again, time was an issue. I am still pleased with the way it turned out.
Right as you walked in the door I had a table set up with Pens and note cards and asked everyone to write Bella a birthday wish or message. I have a little PINK scrapbook I made for her and I am going to put the messages people wrote with their photo booth pictures. I also had little fairy wands for all the kids. Boys loved them too! Although I think the hit with the kids were the Fake diamonds in the pen jar. lol. They loved them.

Bella was so funny eating her smash cake. When she was finished I stood her up and she stepped right in her cake and was not happy at all to have cake all over her foot. I loved her faces. My favorite part.
My dad and of course all the kids. My dad is a kids magnet. No matter where we are or what we are dong kids flock to him. So funny.

Bella and I's first girls night out ever together we went and saw Tangled. (really I watched and she slept, but it was still so special to me) I know we have all seen this movie and in the part where she is about to see the lanterns in the sky the lines go like this:
Rapunzel: I've been looking out of a window for eighteen years, dreaming about what I might feel like when those lights rise in the sky. What if it's not everything I dreamed it would be?
Flynn Rider: It will be.
Rapunzel: And what if it is? What do I do then?
Flynn Rider: Well, that's the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream.
I started crying pretty good when I heard this, I had been dreaming of Bella my whole life and now she was mine and I've had the thought "now what" and I loved the quote " well, thats the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream". Watching the lantern in the movie float up to the sky and I knew at that moment that is how I wanted to celebrate Bella's birthday. She was my dream and dreams do come true. I still will hold her at night and cry, I can't believe how blessed I am to have her.
At church on sunday I was feeling very frustrated becuase as usual I was out in the hall with Bella running around like crazy and London came out and followed us. Bella had found the drinking fountain and London went over to help her out. As I sat there and watched them I started to cry, it was one of the most beautiful things, I wished I had movie camera at that moment and freeze time. I am so overwhelmed with gratitude towards my children that it is often hard to find the word and feeling to express them.
Happy Birthday Bella! I hope you will always know how much each and everyone one of us love you.
