Birthday and Surgery

Well My beautiful baby boy turned 6 today. I can't believe how quickly time has gone by. I guess to start off on Logan's birthday I should start talking about yesterday. Yesterday was one of those days were everything that can go wrong does. I won't go into to much detail of they day but there were a million different things. The icing on the cake yesterday was Logan jumping on the tramp with the nieghbors and he rolled thats right just rolled of the edge and broke his ARM. It was the saddest looking thing I have ever seen. It was just dangling there, so called linc crying and he didn't listen to me and just hung up on me and called 911 as I was loading the kids in the car to take them to the hospital. Linc called me back and told me 911 was on the way so I had to turn the car around and come back home and as I was pulling in the drive way they showed up. So Logan and I drove to Primary childrens in the ambulance and after linc got home he grabbed the other boys and came up to the hospital. I thought for sure they would just throw a cast on him but after the x ray got back there was a lot more damage then we all had thought. His arm was fractured right above the elbow and he had a nerve that was mess up so they had to rush him into surgery. Not a word you want to hear when you are dealing with your children. He was so brave the whole time. After he was out of surgery I stayed the night with him. He was awake in and out during the night, I slept about 3 hours. He is doing really great now, he is a little sore and having a hard time moving. Since the nerve in his arm was crushed my the bone he can't bend his thumb or his fore finger, but other than that he is doing good. He should have that back in 4 to 5 weeks. I do feel so bad for him though today is his birthday so I have tried my hardest to make it a wonderful day for him. This morning at breakfast I told the chef that it was his b day and he sent him up a cupcake with breakfast and a nurse came in and brought him hot wheels and glow in the dark stars and a little teddy bear. Later my mom called the gift shop and sent him up and doggy and ballons. On the way home we asked him what he would like to have for a brithday lunch and of coarse he wanted mc donalds. My dad and stepmom and sister and her hubby came over and brought him presents and a cake.

So that was our day yesterday and today in a total nut shell. There is so much more that went on but I don't want to bore you. lol.

Logan, I love you so much. The day that you were born was the happiest day of my life. You have brought me so much joy, I am so proud to be your mom. Everything you do I am in aww of. You are always impressing me with everything you do. You are a wonderful friend, brother, and son. I look up to you in so many ways. Thank you for being so wonderful. I love you more and more everyday. I hope you still have a wonderful day today and know that I love you and am proud of everything you do.
